Cornish Maine Boudoir Studio // Tattoos, Bruises, Stretch Marks & Sass: Why I Don’t Retouch Realness (But We Do Clean You Up a Bit)
Let’s talk retouching: I’ll fix the shit you don’t want, not the stuff that makes you you
Alright, let’s get one thing straight from the jump:
Yes, I retouch.
No, I don’t turn you into a plastic Barbie doll version of yourself.
My job is to photograph you — just the slightly better-lit, expertly-posed, gently-glow’d version of you. Not some smoothed-out, identity-erased fantasy.
We’re not doing that here.
So what do I retouch?
Glad you asked. Here’s the breakdown:
Pimples? Gone. You didn’t invite them to the shoot, and neither did I.
Bruises? Bye. Unless you're going for a “bar fight glam” aesthetic (and if so, respect), those are out.
Stretch marks? Up to you.
Some clients wear them like battle scars — powerful, real, beautiful. Others prefer them softened or removed. You tell me. I’ll never assume.Skin softening? Always.
Look, my camera is a mirrorless system with superhero-level clarity. It sees everything. Like, your pores have pores. That’s not flattering for anyone, so yeah, I smooth things just enough to make it feel like your skin, but on its best damn day.Lingerie pulling weird or creating an unflattering line?
That’s on me — I should’ve caught that mid-shoot, but if something slipped by, I’ll fix it. No weird muffin shadows left behind on my watch.
What I don’t do?
Turn you into a stranger.
Your body stays your body.
Your face stays your face.
Your vibe stays yours — that raw, emotional, powerful energy? Untouched.
We’re not using retouching to erase who you are. We’re using it to polish the image so it looks how you felt in that moment — confident, sexy, alive.
Realness over fakeness. Always.
I’m not the photographer who’ll snatch your waist, puff up your boobs, and liquify your thighs until you look like you got sucked into a beauty app from 2012. Nah. Hard pass.
I want you to recognize yourself. I want your partner to look at your photos and go, “Holy hell, that’s YOU, and you look fire.” Not “Cool… who’s the AI-generated model in this boudoir book?”
I’ll clean you up — not change who you are.
You’re already showing up bravely, boldly, and probably feeling a little vulnerable. The least I can do is treat your body and your trust with respect.
I'll remove the stuff that doesn’t belong — bruises, pimples, fabric malfunctions.
I'll ask about the stuff you're proud of, like stretch marks or tattoos, and follow your lead.
And I’ll leave you in the photo — because that's exactly who we’re celebrating.
Want to feel like the hottest version of yourself — without looking like a wax figure?
You know where to find me. Let’s do the damn thing.
